2016 Freestyle crew

Check out the new Freestyle video with highlights from all our campers in the Whistler & Blackcomb Terrain Parks.  The epic amount of snow days made it easy for park crew to build lots of well shaped features with soft landings right through till the end.  With sunny skys in spring the freestyle crew managed to get some awesome days ripping laps and adding to thier bag of tricks.

Season Wrap Up 2016

That's a wrap for another successful and fun season of snowboarding here in Whistler. This year's campers saw many, many powder days enabling the coaches and campers to ride lots of challenging and varied terrain.  Nothing seemed off limits with an abundance of trees to ride including the summer mountain bike trails.  These off the trail runs are a maze of twisting, winding and rolling tracks through much of Whistlers mid to lower mountain runs, a fun natural border cross course.

Check out the new 2016 Freeride Camp video.  We had an amazing season of powder, face shots and cliff drops. This is what our Freeride group did with all that snow this year.

Whistler Blackcomb Renaissance

Whistler Blackcomb has a $345 million plan to make Whistler a "weather independent" resort with new year-round attractions for non-skiers.

The proposal includes a massive indoor waterpark, more biking, hiking trails and luxury accommodations on Blackcomb.  These enhancements are to be rolled out in three phases in on-mountain improvements, to “further solidify and enhance the company’s reputation as one of the world’s greatest four-season mountain resorts.

Phase 1  - Will include a $90- to $100-million investment in the watershed located at Blackcomb base 2 area.  The main attraction will be the indoor adventure center, dedicated to a water play area that will include slides, a surf zone, a kids' splash area and hot and cold pools. The building will also feature a family entertainment centre, food and beverage options, an eight-lane bowling alley and, in Phase 2, will incorporate WB's existing Day Lodge facilities.  The Blackcomb Adventure Park, will offer a range of year-round family activities, such as a mountain coaster, rope course, winter tubing and the introduction of night skiing.
