Under less then sunny skies the Showcase Showdown took place this Saturday at the bottom of Whistler mountain. The Showcase Showdown, now in it's 16th year, has taken many forms over the years. From pipestyle, to jib jam, slopestyle, and this year big air. Charles Beckinsale made a 60 foot step down which sent the riders flying into the village square.
The theme this year was "Night of the living shred", and with zombie body parts everywhere and the on slought of terrible weather the theme really came to life.
In the end Marc-Andre Tremblay took 1st place, Matt Belzile was in second, and Nathan Therriault took third. On the girls side Breanna Stangeland took first, Gillian Andrewshenko, second, and Carly Scott in third.
Also congratulations to Pro Ride coach Duncan Mainland for making it to finals and finishing in 10th place.
