Campers receive Whistler Blackcomb Snow School Awards
The team at Pro Ride Snowboard Camps would like to say a massive congratulations to Marc Veronese and Raffaella Vaz for being recognized by the Blackcomb Snow School for the amazing instructors they have become over the past year. Raff received the Blackcomb Rookie of the Year award while Marc was awarded Blackcomb Pro of the Year.
Marc and Raffaella travelled out last season from Australia to complete the instructor training course with Pro Ride. They trained and passed both their CASI Level 1 and 2 courses with flying colours, setting themselves up to apply for jobs the following season. Raffaella stayed in Whistler for the summer months and applied for a job in December as an instructor at the Blackcomb Base. She got the job and has absolutely loved being up on the mountain every day, teaching people the sport she is so passionate about and deserving the title 'Rookie of the Year'.
Marc went back to his job at home in Australia after his Whistler adventure last year. He decided to make a drastic change to his life and moved to Whistler with his girlfriend, to make snowboarding his daily job. Marc was a very strong snowboarder by the time he finished training with us last year, and working as a snowboard instructor for Whistler Blackcomb has improved his riding even more. After teaching for just one season the Blackcomb Snow School elected him 'Pro of the Year', in acknowledgement of his achievements. A huge congratulation to both of these guys, we're very proud of you!
